Peterston in the spotlight...

Peterston-Super-Ely in Red Magazine....Really??! You mean that little village just off the A48 on the way to Cowbridge? Well yes, it is home to Neil Kinnock, and that gives it a certain something.. but not quite the glamour and excitement of Red.. Surely?
Well, it’s true, here we are. This is what Peterston has become! And it’s all thanks to the home grown talent that is Kirsten Jack, founder Director of Eco Concierge and Lucy George, owner of Wild Fig. It all started with some fruit, some memories and helping well intentioned but busy people to live in a more eco-conscious way.
Kirsten says of the introduction: “Red magazine approached me about a feature they were planning on celebrating British summer traditions, like fruit picking. I support my clients with all sorts of things, from having a green baby, to ethical investment or reducing their travel impact, so I can definitely say that supporting a local business by picking seasonal fruit is not only lots of fun and very rewarding, but it’s also a very green behaviour too! A lot of people initially see green as another way of saying ‘do without’, but I can show clients that there are all sorts of ways to be green, so it was great to be able to celebrate the positive.”
Eco Concierge is a nationwide business that helps everyday people to take the hassle out of green. A massive 62% of people in the UK want to do the right thing, but struggle to make time to do all the research to work out what’s right for them. Eco Concierge advises, but also directly supports, individuals with things they’d never otherwise have got round to doing, like reducing their energy bills at home, reducing their supermarket spend or taking an eco friendly holiday.
Wild Fig whilst not currently offering a delivery service, is a fantastic destination venue, with a café serving hot and cold drinks, wine, beer, light lunches and a mouth watering range of homemade cakes and cookies!
